How to Measure Slings

Two-Piece Chaise

BACK

  • Measure the back width 6” from the top of the chaise. Measure from the center of the sling rail on either side and round to the nearest ⅛”
  • Some chaises flair at the top, but you won’t have to account for this.
  • Measure the back width 6″ from the bottom of the chaise.
  • Measure the length from the top edge of the frame to the bottom, following all contours with a fabric measuring tape.

SEAT

  • Measure the back of the seat 2” from the end. Repeat on the front 6-8” away from the end and round to the nearest ⅛” each time.
  • Measure the seat length from the back to the front of the frame where the sling has been inserted and round to the closest ¼”.

  1. Please do not measure the old sling. Old slings will have stretched and they no longer accurate to measure.
  2. There will be additional fabric inside the rails. Do not adjust your measurements to account for this. Our replacement slings stretch ½-1” for this purpose.
  3. Always use a soft tape measure when measuring your slings for a more accurate reading.
  4. If your chair has a slight taper or flair of ¼” or less from top to bottom, this is due to natural movement in your frame.
